Dave and I are heading to Whistler on Oct 4, 2018, for the Turkey Sale and Canada's official October Thanksgiving weekend!  We are inviting you to join us.

Please note, this is NOT an official club trip.  If you choose to RSVP to this event, you are responsible for securing your own lodging and covering all costs associated with your personal Whistler adventure.  We are not arranging carpools, but we will put together some "semi-organized" weekend events while we are up there depending on how many decide to come up.  We plan to go to the Turkey sale and do some hiking, biking, and want to take advantage of the tasty restaurant specials all over town.

So why go to Whistler in October?

1.  The bike park is still open and hardly anyone is there
2.   While the Mountain hiking up top is now closed via Peak Chair, you can still hike up Pika's/Mathews Traverse and see the views and fall colors from the top (without the crowds) and you can still go across the new sky bridge
3.  There are lots of bike trails all over the village as well as places to ride your mountain bike in the valley
4.  There are tons of 3 and 4 course specials at the best restaurants all over the village. Think Araxi for less than $49!
5.  Turkey sale is Fri the 5th to Sun the 7th; cash in on the great deals at Canadian Exchange rates
6.  Lots of sidewalk sales of summer items as the stores start changing over to winter gear
7.  Music and events throughout the village to celebrate Canada Thanksgiving
8.  You might see a black bear before they go into hibernation for the winter
9.  You can say you celebrated Thanksgiving Canada Style!
10. Don't forget your Edge Card or EPIC pass to ride the gondola and get special savings at participating vendors

So if you are looking for something fun and outdoorsy to do next weekend, join us in Whistler.  Please RSVP so we know how many to expect:
