Bike from Issaquah on the Issaquah - Preston Trail.
Easy, wimpy 8 miles one way.
16 miles round trip.
The Issaquah-Preston trail is a suburban connector trail running roughly along the historic Seattle Lake Shore & Eastern Railway grade from Issaquah east to Preston.
The trail surface starts paved on the west end and transitions to gravel and Hard Packed Dirt east of Sunset Way then reverts back to a wide paved shoulder along SE High Point Way as you come into Preston.
Issaquah section of the trail will be blacktop for about 2 miles on a mostly flat and shaded trail. Leaving Issaquah towards Preston the trail becomes Railroad grade uphill for about 6 miles as we peddle through a greenbelt forest of trees.
Hybrid or Touring bike tires recommended or the wider mountain bike tires.

2nd Start Point * Preston parking lot next to the trail @ 12:45pm.
No need for the “Discovery Pass” or pay for parking at Lk Sammamish State Park. Just coast an Easy 8 miles downhill to Issaquah to meet up with all your SnoJoke friends at the “SnoJoke Ski Kick-Off Picnic” then ride back to Preston afterwards. (or hitch a ride back)
** Take Preston Exit from I-90. Turn Right at stop sign. Travel about 3 blocks, just past the ball fields and turn Left to park next to the trail.
Rain cancels the bike ride.
