Explore Green Mountain’s remarkable meadows full of wildflowers, creeks and tarns on your way up to a restored summit lookout (circa 1933). In every direction the summit offers magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and the Suiattle River Valley below. Bring a lunch, water and good hiking shoes. The hike is rated as "Very Difficult" black at 24 points out of a possible 28+. We may stop somewhere on the way back for food and libations if the group so desires.
Difficulty: Black
Data: 8 miles Round Trip (hiking time is about 6 hours)
Elevation Gain: 3100 ft

To get the best out of this hike we need fairly clear skies for the views. If there is light rain or low clouds in the forecast, this hike will be switched to a lower, less “view-dependent” hike (Details to follow). Heavy rain cancels.
